Bio

Originally from the Philippines, Morse joined APU after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of the Philippines. In addition to his Bachelor’s degree from APU, Morse holds a Master’s in International Law and Human Rights from the University for Peace (Costa Rica) and a Master’s in International Humanitarian Affairs from Deusto University (Spain), Ruhr University-Bochum (Germany), and Uppsala University (Sweden) as a European Commission Erasmus Mundus Scholar.


Morse has been working in Geneva in the humanitarian field for almost two decades and currently serves as a Human Rights Officer. He believes he would have never made it to where he is now without the generosity and kindness of other people. As Chairperson of the Alumni Association, his aim is to pay it back and pay it forward. He hopes to inspire the next generation to “pass on” the same kindness and gratitude.

Bio

Kosuke embarked on his professional journey immediately after graduation and has since become an accomplished salesperson with a career spanning two decades. Based in Japan, his areas of expertise encompass printing, event planning, and customer communications across various industries. Kosuke has held significant roles within the alumni community, serving as the representative of the Kansai CPT, a member of the Tokyo CPT, and eventually Vice Representative of the board.


In addition to his professional endeavors, Kosuke is a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees of Ritsumeikan Academy, reflecting his commitment to education and community involvement. He maintains strong connections to APU and Ritsumeikan University, recognizing the pivotal role these institutions played in shaping his career. Kosuke believes that these connections are the cornerstone of our Alumni Association, and he actively contributes to the development of the Ritsumeikan Academy by fostering and expanding this network to the next generation.

Bio

Anaïs graduated from APU with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Arts degree in PCPR (Professional Communication & Public Relations) from the University of New York in Prague and a Professional Community Translator certificate (French-English translation) from MCIS-Toronto.


Throughout her career, Anaïs has acquired solid experience in Business and Process Development through various professional roles held in the Czech Republic, Canada, and Ivory Coast. Her responsibilities have included sales management, customer care, process audit and redesign, and strategic and operational marketing. Additionally, she provides resources, budgeting, and operational recommendations to clients to support their business strategies.


During her time at APU, Anaïs volunteered to participate in major university events, such as the APU World Students’ Tourism Summit held in 2005, where she had the honor to meet Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in person. She strongly believes that her immersion into Japanese culture had a profound and positive impact on the person she is today.


As an engaged alumna, Anaïs is passionate about strengthening professional development, industry partnerships, mentorship, and collaboration for APU alumni and current students. Currently based in Canada, she works in the tech industry and remains dedicated to giving back to her alma mater and supporting its community.

For the past decade, Lu has been immersed in the dynamic world of Human Resources, specializing in sales and operations, managed services, consulting for staffing, as well as career transition and mobility. Her journey has taken her across the globe, from the bustling streets of Japan to the vibrant energy of Hong Kong and the diverse cultures of the US, before settling in Italy.


Beyond her professional endeavors, Lu takes immense pride in her role as a mother of two wonderful boys and as a devoted military spouse. These facets of her life have shaped her into the person she is today, instilling a profound belief in the power of people as the cornerstone of success.


Now, as Vice President of the Alumni Association, Lu is wholeheartedly committed to walking alongside our alumni and students to leverage the collective strength of our community, support one another, create lasting connections, and foster personal and professional growth that elevate us all. Her diverse experiences and unwavering dedication make her a valuable asset to our alumni network.

I graduated in 2014 with dual majors in International Management and Information Communication Technology. Following graduation, I ventured into the hardware industry in Japan, inspired by my fascination with Japanese craftsmanship. Over the past decade, I’ve navigated seamlessly from a role in production control to becoming a DX (Digital Transformation) professional within the construction sector.


Fluent in English, Japanese, and Urdu, my multicultural background informs my approach to projects, enabling me to integrate diverse perspectives seamlessly. My trajectory includes spearheading software development projects, integrating cutting-edge technology into construction processes, and building innovative solutions that drive industry progress and optimize the construction processes.


Currently based in the US, I lead a team of professional developers, directing our efforts towards groundbreaking innovations in construction technology. Additionally, I am honored to serve as the Director of Chapter Relations on the alumni board, where I am dedicated to giving back to the community that has been instrumental in shaping my career journey.

After graduating from APU in 2013, I joined the International Business Development Department at KDDI Corporation. In 2017, I transitioned to Rapyuta Robotics (RR) where I initially worked as a drone pilot and later specialized in the operation of warehouse autonomous robots. During my tenure at RR, I founded my own company, Ma-Navi, in Bangladesh. Ma-Navi serves as a representative for APU and provides consulting services to numerous Japanese companies. From 2018, I am taking care of the Japan based customers for Apex Footwear of Bangladesh. Additionally, I represent Elementary Japan, a trading company owned by an APU graduate.

I completed my Master’s in Agricultural Science at the University of Tokyo in 2017.


From the onset of my life in Japan, APU and the entire APU community have been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. My connection with the APU alumni strengthened during my six-year tenure as President of the Bangladesh chapter. Now, as the Director of Chapter Relationships for the alumni, I am committed to contributing to the betterment of APU, its alumni, and future generations of APU students.

As for my job, after two years in charge of overseas business (agri-tech/E-commerce of India), I am now in charge of sales promotion and customer success for DeepTech solutions domestically and internationally. Also, by running my own business, I am involved in the web and education industry.

On the academic side, I am a member of the Sustainable Marketing Research Society of Japan Marketing Academy.


As Director of Student Engagement of APU Alumni Association, I am excited to commit to the Alumni network by sharing my experiences from various aspects with current APU students.

Emmanuel Maclord Nana Ansah is a seasoned corporate trainer and human development professional with over 18 years of experience. He excels in designing and delivering customized training programs to diverse user populations, driven by his passion for contributing management expertise. Emmanuel is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Health Care Administration. He holds a Master’s degree from New York University in Human Development and Business Education, a degree in Asia Pacific Management with a focus on International Human Resource Management from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing.


His career spans roles in renowned organizations such as Kumon Institute of Education, Hanjin Shipping, MUFG Union Bank, Consortium for Workers Education, and 1199 SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund. With vast experience in information technology, human resource management, training and development, banking and finance, sales and marketing, Emmanuel is also a human rights advocate, dedicated to the rights and freedoms of all humanity through education and empowerment.


Emmanuel is committed to elevating the APU School and Alumni organizations and advocates for inclusion and cultural integrity in spirituality.

I am a Business professional turned Entrepreneur, with 6 years of experience in Business Operations and Product Development.

Graduating from APU, my journey commenced at an esteemed Automotive OEM, where I played an instrumental role in the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) products and served as a strategic Buyer for EV components.


Seeking to broaden my expertise and embrace new challenges, I transitioned to the FMCG Beauty Industry. Here, I assumed the role of Operations Planner, specializing in managing operations for international luxury beauty brands on a global scale.


Driven by a relentless entrepreneurial spirit, I embarked on the journey of founding my own company. Presently, I proudly serve as the CEO of a growing Consultancy and Software firm based in Japan. Our mission is to empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Japan with solutions in Operational Excellence, Innovative Strategy, and state-of-the-art Digital Transformation.


Throughout my professional journey, I have garnered admiration for several key attributes, including Transformational Leadership, High Emotional Intelligence, and Agile methodologies. Leveraging these competencies while continually refining others, I remain committed to making meaningful contributions not only to my alma mater, APU, but also to the broader business community. XU Jiajun (Eddy) finished his undergraduate studies at APU and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from Aoyama Gakuin University. After graduation, he worked for several years in sales and compliance, where he was responsible for evaluating internal control effectiveness. He then went on to obtain the C.P.A. license in Washington and now works as an accounting and auditing consultant. Eddy is also a part-time lecturer at APU, where he teaches Introduction to Accounting.
