New APU Alumni Association Chapters are born!!
APU Alumni Association celebrated birth of its “twin” Chapters, Oita Chapter and Ho Chi Minh Chapter on the same day, Saturday, May 11, 2013.
The Oita Chapter held its Launching Ceremony at APU (what a previledge!), then went on a bus tour to Usa City. About 20 of not only alumni but also APU staff alumni, current students from LoopA.S. participated. It was a success to bring in a new concept of combining the chapter’s launching ceremony and a tour getting to know the region. Mr.Kenji Kusunoki(2010APM) and Ms.HSIEH Hsin-Wu(Anita)(2005APS) have been elected as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson respectively.
The Ho Chi Minh Chapter was officially inaugurated as the second chapter in Vietnam after Hanoi. The Launching Ceremony took place at Riverside Palace in Ho Chi Minh City welcoming over 40 people not only APU alumni but also Ritsumeikan University alumni, and friends. The members voted for Chairperson and two Vice-Chairpersons. Ms.Vo Ngoc Tam Thanh (2011APM) has been elected as Chairperson, Mr.Nguyen Nghi Hac(2011APM) and Ms.Yuko Maruyama(2007APS) as Vice Chairpersons. APU Pro Vice President, Professor Porter also attended the ceremony to deliver a celebration speech.
